Gene B. Glick Company in Lafayette, IN, seeks an Assistant Property Manager for the Fairington of Lafayette community (150 units). This part-time role supports the Property Manager, ensuring satisfactory cash flow, compliant operations, and strong resident service.

You will handle tours, applications, move-ins/outs, rent collection, and coordination with other teams. A local driver’s license is required, and Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Property Management experience preferred.
• Must be detail oriented and organized.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in the state of residence.
• Able to work a varied schedule including weekends.
• Must be willing to travel for training and meetings.
• Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to read and comprehend the English language.
• Fluent in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and e-mail inquiries from residents and prospective residents.
• Follow-up on emails from prospective residents to show the community.
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, certifications, and renewals.
• Greet and tour prospects, explain occupancy terms and amenities.
• Close sales, secure deposits, and process applications or waiting lists.
• Follow up with prospects to complete the leasing process.
• Determine eligibility of prospective residents per regulations and company procedures.
• Assist with marketing surveys.
• Pursue and collect rent payments and assist with delinquencies.
