Urban Self Storage, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to support daily operations and deliver exceptional customer service at our Bernalillo, NM facility. The role is a part-time position (~28 hours/week) with scheduled weekend coverage.

The Assistant Manager will support the Store Manager, maintain clean and safe premises, handle customer accounts, and assist customers through the rental process while coordinating with the team to meet occupancy and service goals.

• Proficiency using computers, mobile devices, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and property management software, including accurate data entry and management of digital customer records.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation.
• Prior customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong listening skills and ability to follow direction.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of a self-storage facility.
• Ensure the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained, including tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash pickup, changing light bulbs, pulling weeds, and ensuring all aspects of the facility are in working order.
• Assist with organizing and completing daily operational tasks.
• Handle customer accounts, including delinquency actions.
• Tour storage spaces and assist customers throughout the rental process.
• Manage daily deposits, cash counts, and petty cash.
• Collaborate positively with team members and leadership.
• Support occupancy, rental, and customer service goals.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through professional in-person, phone, and email communication.
• Conduct regular property walks and security checks throughout the facility.
