Westminster Winter Park is seeking an Assistant Cook to join the Dining Services Department in Winter Park, FL. This part-time role involves preparing and serving salads, sandwiches, and pantry items, with opportunities to assist hot food items under supervision.

You will support the cook, handle portions and presentation, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. Prior food service experience and Serv Safe certification are valued, with potential training provided.

Qualifications

• English reading/writing/speaking required and ability to follow directions.
• Basic math skills needed for portions and servings.
• Basic knife handling skills expected.
• Ability to fill in for cook on a temporary basis when needed.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve quality salads, sandwiches, and pantry items per recipes.
• Assist with cold food preparation under supervision, including presentation and portioning.
• Distribute prepared food to service areas and restock as needed.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards at the station and kitchen.
• Support cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment.
• Experience with POS systems to handle transactions.
