Qualifications

• Full understanding of basic food preparation methods and cooking techniques in quantity food production.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a full-service culinary setting.
• Florida Serv Safe certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English; basic math skills.
• Ability to fill in for cook as needed on a temporary basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited hot food preparation under supervision using standardized recipes.
• Prepare cold items, salads, sandwiches and desserts under guidance.
• Distribute prepared food and restock items across service areas.
• Maintain station cleanliness, safety and sanitation practices.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning and equipment organization.
• Utilize POS systems to manage orders and transactions.
