Job summary

ZP Connect is seeking a part-time interpreter to provide high-quality American Sign Language interpreting via video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations. The role requires fluent ASL and spoken English, accurate interpreting, and strict adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Training and benefits are included for PT24 positions. Must be able to work 24 hours per week and accept assignments based on demand.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Accurate interpreting skills.
• Understanding of Deaf culture.
• Adherence to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service with a respectful and professional attitude.
• Exhibit punctuality and preparedness for shifts, and maintain professional interactions with colleagues and supervisors.
• Adhere to all policies and FCC regulations.
• Demonstrate ability to adapt to new technologies and multi-task between interpreting and video-based tools.
• Participate in company-sponsored training for professional development.
• Show ability to meet performance expectations with minimal supervision.
• Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills in all settings.
• Be able to travel where required; have access to a vehicle and valid driver's license and insurance.
