Job summary

ZVRS is seeking a part-time Interpreter to provide high-quality American Sign Language interpretation via video relay, video remote interpreting, and on-site at customer locations as needed.

Under supervision of the Communication Center Manager, the interpreter will adhere to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct, complete a 40-hour new hire training, and pass an interpreting assessment. Eligible for part-time benefits including medical, telehealth, dental, life insurance, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Fluent American Sign Language and spoken English.
• Must pass interpreting skills assessment.
• Complete 40-hour New Hire Training.
• 3–5 years of interpreting experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and NAD-RID Code of Conduct.
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and multitask.
• Travel as needed with access to a vehicle and valid driver’s license.
