Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) invites applications for a Part-time Instructor in American Sign Language (ASL) for FY 2027. Courses are taught at CSN campuses across Clark County, with scheduling that may include day, evening, and weekend slots.

A BA from a regionally accredited college or university and demonstrated ASL proficiency at an advanced level are required, with teaching ASL experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BA from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Advanced ASL competencies demonstrated.
• Experience teaching ASL.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• ASTLA certification and RID interpreter certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teaching college-level courses in American Sign Language and Deafness.
• Develop syllabi and course materials.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
• Provide excellent teaching and student advisement, recruitment activities and curriculum development.
• Courses taught at multiple campuses in Clark County.
• Be available to teach day, evening and/or weekend courses.
