Teaching college‑level courses in American Sign Language (ASL) and Deafness. Develop syllabi, create course materials, evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes, and provide an excellent teaching experience combined with student advisement, recruitment activities, and program/curriculum development. Courses are taught at multiple campuses in Clark County and the instructor must be available to teach day, evening, or weekend courses.
• Teach ASL courses and support student learning.
• Develop syllabi and instructional materials.
• Evaluate student performance against course outcomes.
• Advise students and participate in recruitment and program development activities.
• Coordinate teaching across multiple campus sites and time slots.
• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university (preferably in a Deafness‑related field).
• Documented and demonstrated advanced competency in American Sign Language.
• Experience teaching in ASL.
• Master’s degree.
• Experience working with interactive language laboratories.
• ASTLA certification (American Sign Language Teachers Association).
• RID interpreter certification (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf).
• Salary: $925.00 per lecture credit per semester. Course/credit assignments may vary by semester.
