Job summary

The College of Southern Nevada is seeking a part-time instructor to teach American Sign Language (ASL) and related Deafness courses. You will develop syllabi, prepare materials, and assess student mastery while advising students and supporting recruitment and curriculum development across Clark County campuses.

Qualified candidates hold a BA (preferably Deafness-related), with advanced ASL competencies and prior ASL teaching experience; a Master’s degree and additional certifications are

Qualifications

• BA in Deafness-related field or equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Documented and demonstrated American Sign Language competencies at an advanced level.
• Experience teaching ASL.

Responsibilities

• Teach college-level courses in American Sign Language and Deafness.
• Develop syllabi and course materials.
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies.
• Provide teaching, advisement, recruitment activities and curriculum development.
• Teach at multiple campuses in Clark County and be available day/evening/weekend.
