Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time for Reston, VA. This role offers reliable, fixed shifts with flexible opportunities to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

Earn $21.74 per hour with potential to increase hours to approach full-time availability. Responsibilities include patrolling healthcare facilities, monitoring access, and quickly responding to incidents.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
Valid armed guard card or license.
Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Background check as required by law.
Drug screening per policy and jurisdiction.
State/local licensing may be required.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors following security procedures.
Conduct regular unarmed patrols across facilities and parking areas; report hazards.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, professional actions.
Monitor access points and assist with directions while maintaining presence.
Prepare incident reports and communicate findings to leadership.
