Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Coverage in Reston, VA. This role provides flexible, reliable hours with a base site schedule and options to pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $21.74 per hour. The position requires a Virginia DCJS license, six months of security experience, and adherence to background checks and drug screening. Must be 21+ for armed roles.

Qualifications

• Six months of security-related experience.
• Virginia DCJS license required.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required prior to employment.
• Licensing for state/local laws may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while following security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and according to site protocols.
• Conduct armed patrols in healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances and perimeters.
• Monitor access points and escalate concerns to site contacts or leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident and patrol reports as required.
