Job summary

Allied Universal in Reston, VA is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced - Part Time Armed Patrol Equipment Readiness to provide reliable, site-specific security support.

The role offers fixed shifts with an optional Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program, and a pay rate of $21.74 per hour. This part-time position supports a six-month anchor commitment and allows earnings growth through additional shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations involving patients, visitors, and staff.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity and report concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, access control procedures, and adherence to site-specific healthcare location requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.
