Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an armed Campus Patrol Security Officer in Manassas, VA for a part-time schedule. The role focuses on patrolling residential locations, maintaining a visible security presence, and delivering exceptional customer service while enforcing site policies.

The position requires an armed guard card, strong customer service skills, and the ability to use computers/tablets. A background check and drug screening are required by law, with eligibility for driving positions where

Qualifications

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, resident, and vehicle activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
