Job summary

Allied Universal® in Ashburn, VA is hiring an Armed Perimeter Patrol Security Officer (Part Time). You will guard and assist a government education location, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents while delivering professional customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

This role requires an Armed Guard Card or License and offers flexible scheduling through our Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Pepper Spray Certification is preferred.
• Baton Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, help maintain an orderly environment, and report unauthorized access or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities.
