Job summary

Sinclair Community College invites applications for Architecture and Construction - Part-Time (Adjunct) Faculty at the Dayton campus. The program covers architectural construction, drafting, estimating, and related design topics with hands-on experiences in modern facilities.

The starting pay for Adjunct Faculty is $1,046 per credit hour assigned to teach. Candidates must reside in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky or be able to work within these states.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction, or related field required; master’s degree in architecture, construction, or related field preferred; OR must meet the specific requirements associated with Tested Experience
• Tested Experience requirements include: minimum associate’s degree in the discipline and possession of a widely accepted certification or license
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and/or Microsoft Project preferred
• Evidence of successful prior teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Adjunct faculty teach curriculum developed by the department
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections per department policies
• Employ appropriate teaching methods and technology as applicable
• Modify instructional methods to meet diverse student needs
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success
• Evaluate and return student work promptly
• Maintain accurate records of student progress
• Submit final grade rosters by deadlines
• Maintain confidentiality of student information
• Adjunct Faculty cannot teach more than 12 credit hours per semester
