Job summary

City of Idaho Falls Animal Shelter is seeking a part-time Front Desk Clerk to greet visitors, handle adoptions, intakes, and payments, and support daily shelter operations.

You will perform clerical tasks, assist with kennels, and coordinate with rescue groups, while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with the public.

A high school diploma and basic office skills are preferred; experience with animals is a plus. This role is not eligible for benefits and pays $16–$17 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience performing clerical duties; animal experience is helpful.
• Strong interpersonal communication and telephone etiquette required.
