Qualifications

• Eligible for ARRT and state licensure as required
• Maintains current BCLS and ACLS per lab policies
• PALS certification required for pediatric hospitals within 120 days
• Demonstrates knowledge of radiographic positioning and radiation safety
• Follows infection control and sterile techniques

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date licensure and certifications for position.
• Provide procedural assistance as circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech per policy.
• Operate IR equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Prepare patient and verify identification and orders.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safe environment.
• Follow protocol for medical necessity, coding, and consents.
• Educate patient, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Maintain accurate patient procedure records and adverse reactions.
• Coordinate care and communicate with other providers.
• Manage sheath after procedure to achieve hemostasis.
