Qualifications

• ARRT certification required at hire.
• BCLS and ACLS within 120 days are required.
• State licensure/certifications appropriate to practice.
• PALS certification within 120 days for pediatric hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
• Provides procedural assistance as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech per policy and scope.
• Operates IR equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prep for exam.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Follows protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charges; obtains consents and reports equipment issues.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort; addresses concerns.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates with other providers.
