Qualifications

• Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications as required.
• ARRT, BCLS, ACLS within 120 days; PALS for pediatric settings.
• State licensure and/or certifications required; VIR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications required for position.
• Provides procedural assistance as a circulating tech, scrub tech, or monitoring tech, per lab policies.
• Operates IR equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Prepares patient and verifies identity and orders for the exam.
• Follows radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Adheres to protocol for medical necessity, coding, consents, QC, and reports equipment issues.
• Provides patient education and addresses patient/family concerns.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures performed.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates pertinent information to other providers.
• At end of procedure, suture sheath or remove sheath and apply hemostasis.
