Qualifications

• ARRT certification or eligibility
• BCLS required
• ACLS within 120 days of hire
• State licensure or certifications as required
• PALS within 120 days for pediatric hospitals

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date licensure and certifications.
• Provides procedural assistance as circulating/scrub/monitoring tech.
• Operates IR equipment and information systems to produce quality images.
• Prepares patient and verifies identity for examinations.
• Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and ensures safe environment.
• Follows protocol for medical necessity, coding, and consent processes.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Keeps accurate records of procedures and adverse events.
• Coordinates patient care and communicates with team.
• Ends procedure by securing hemostasis as needed.
