Job summary

United Ground Express, Inc. in South Bend, IN is seeking a Ground Service Agent to greet passengers, support check-in and boarding, handle baggage and coordinate with flight crews. You will use reservation software and radios to ensure on-time departures.

Physical stamina is required; you must lift up to 70 lbs, pass background checks, and be available for day/night shifts, weekends and holidays. Training provided.

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English clearly.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work day or night shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greeting passengers and providing a seamless check-in and ticketing experience
• Use appropriate reservation/ticketing software to rebook itineraries, issue boarding passes, calculate and collect fees
• Ensure passenger information is processed accurately and flights are sent out on time
• Listen to passengers and resolve issues per company policies during flight interruptions
• May work in baggage service to track baggage locations and answer passenger questions
• Use radio devices to communicate with co-workers or flight crew
• Ensure compliance with United and FAA regulations
