Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida in Jacksonville is seeking a Certified Teacher (RCSA Middle) for part-time hours. You will plan, supervise, and implement tutoring, homework help, and reading enrichment for youth ages 6 to 18, ensuring positive development and safety in a club setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Florida teaching certificate or national accreditation and can pass a Level II background check. Schedule is 2.5–3 hours daily, Monday through Friday, 2 PM–7 PM, indoors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a valid State of Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation.
• Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.
• Experience in youth development and education programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and homework assistance to Club members and volunteers.
• Design and facilitate activities around homework to boost interest and enrichment.
• Tutor high-risk students below grade level in language, reading, math and science.
• Assist with planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities for ages 6–18.
• Ensure safety, guidance, and positive environment; develop targeted programs.
