Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida is seeking a part-time Certified Teacher to plan, supervise and deliver tutoring, homework help, and reading enrichment for youth aged 6 to 18 at Highlands Elementary, Jacksonville, FL. You will support academic goals, maintain a safe environment, and participate in program planning and reporting.

Qualified candidates have Florida teaching credentials, a background check, and experience in youth development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a valid State of Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation.
• Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.
• Experience with youth development and planning educational activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and implement tutoring programs, homework assistance, and reading enrichment for youth ages 6 to 18.
• Provide tutoring to high-risk students below grade level in language, reading, math and science.
• Design activities around homework to increase student engagement.
• Ensure safe, positive environment and age-appropriate programs.
• Prepare weekly reports and maintain daily schedules.
