Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida in Arlington Elementary, Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Certified Teacher (Arlington Elementary) to plan, supervise and implement tutoring programs for youth ages 6 to 18.

This part-time role requires a Florida teaching certificate, ability to pass screening, and a passion for helping students succeed with high-quality educational activities in a safe, supportive club setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a valid Florida teaching certificate or National Teaching Accreditation.
• Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Prepare youth for success through tutoring and homework help.
• Design and facilitate activities tied to assignments.
• Provide tutoring for students below grade level in language, reading, math and science.
• Assist with planning and delivery of age-appropriate programs for youth ages 6–18.
• Maintain safe, respectful environment and monitor behavior.
• Prepare weekly activity reports for the Program Director/Unit Director.
• Coordinate with volunteers to support tutoring efforts.
• Participate in program improvement and staff meetings.
