Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of NE Florida in Gainesville, FL seeks a Certified Teacher (Northwest Alachua) to plan, supervise and implement tutoring, homework help and reading enrichment for youth ages 6 to 18. This part-time role supports member education and safety.

The successful candidate holds a Florida teaching certificate or national accreditation, can pass a Level II background check, and will deliver structured, age-appropriate programs, maintain records, and coordinate with volunteers to help

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with Florida teaching certificate or national accreditation.
• Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test.
• Experience in youth development and education programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring and homework assistance to Club members with volunteer support.
• Design and facilitate activities around homework to boost interest and enrichment.
• Tutor high-risk students below grade level in language, reading, math and science.
• Assist with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for ages 6–18.
• Maintain safety and positive environment, supervise members and role model behavior.
