Job summary

Innovation Learning is seeking a part-time Head Coach for an On-Site after-school program at Smithville Horizon Elementary School. This leadership role combines youth development with staff supervision, program operations, and family partnerships to create a safe and engaging environment for students.

The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and passionate about helping children build confidence, resilience, and life skills, while ensuring compliance with state regulations and program

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, recreation, or related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students.
• Facilitate enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized, welcoming program environment.
• Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures.
• Supervise and support site staff.
• Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members.
• Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture.
• Build relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
• Communicate program updates, successes, and student needs.
• Represent the organization professionally within the school community.
