Job summary

Innovation Learning Inc. is seeking a Head Coach to lead our on-site after-school program at Smithville Elementary. This role focuses on creating a safe, engaging environment and guiding youth development.

The Head Coach will supervise staff, coordinate enrichment, and build strong partnerships with families and the school community. Candidates should be energetic, organized, and committed to student growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in education, childcare, youth development, recreation, or related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead staff while actively engaging with children.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• State requires Center Director Certification from Missouri for 21-59 children.

Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Lead daily program operations and ensure a positive experience for students.
• Program Leadership: Facilitate engaging enrichment, academic support, recreation, and character-building activities.
• Program Leadership: Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming program environment.
• Program Leadership: Manage student attendance, transitions, and dismissal procedures.
• Team Development: Supervise and support site staff.
• Team Development: Provide coaching, training, and ongoing feedback to team members.
• Team Development: Lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture.
• Family & School Partnerships: Build strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel.
• Family & School Partnerships: Communicate program updates, successes, and student needs.
• Family & School Partnerships: Represent the organization professionally within the school community.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies.
• Safety & Compliance: Maintain accurate program records and documentation.
• Safety & Compliance: Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and behavioral concerns.
