Job summary

Innovation Learning Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Resilience Coach to work at school sites in the Phoenix area. The role focuses on mentoring children, delivering enrichment and academic support, and promoting resilience in a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities include building relationships, leading activities, facilitating homework help, and ensuring student safety during program hours. Prior experience with youth programs is preferred and CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Must meet one of: 6 months experience or 12 college credits; or an Associate's/Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education; or NAC/CDA/CCP credential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Location: School-Based Program Sites in the Phoenix area:

St. Theresa Catholic School, Phoenix, AZ

Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)

Monday - Thursday 2:45-5:30 PM and Friday's 12:15 pm - 5:30 pm (Early Release Every Friday)

We are looking for candidates who are available to work the full schedule as listed. We cannot accommodate partial shifts with later start times and earlier end times.

Position Overview

As a Resilience Coach, you will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop life skills, and thrive. This is an active, hands-on role that combines mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support. We are looking for positive, energetic team members who enjoy working with school-age children and creating meaningful connections every day.

Key Responsibilities

Student Engagement & Support

• Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
• Serve as a role model by promoting respect, responsibility, and resilience.
• Support students through positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
• Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.

Program Delivery

• Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team-building activities.
• Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions.
• Participate in games, fitness activities, and outdoor play.
• Help students develop social-emotional and leadership skills.

Program Operations

• Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
• Support student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
• Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Must meet one of the following requirements: (1) 6 months experience or 12 college credits (2) Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or (3) NAC, CDA or CCP Credential
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
