Job summary

Innovation Learning is hiring a Resilience Coach for School-Based Program Site in Youngsville. This part-time role runs before/after school and during breaks, with morning and late-afternoon shifts. Base pay ranges from $17–$21 per hour.

Join a team dedicated to mentoring students, delivering enrichment, and supporting academic activities in a dynamic school setting. Prior BSAC training and basic child/youth development coursework are valued.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • BSAC training completed or willingness to obtain.
  • 2 semester hours in child/youth development and 2 semester hours in school-age programming.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
  • Experience working with children in schools or youth programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.
  • Promote respect, responsibility, and resilience as a role model.
  • Support students with positive behavior guidance and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
  • Lead engaging enrichment, recreation, and team-building activities.
  • Facilitate homework help and academic support sessions.
  • Participate in games, fitness activities, and outdoor play.
  • Help students develop social-emotional and leadership skills.
  • Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
  • Support attendance, check-in, and dismissal procedures.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Student Engagement & Support
  • Build positive relationships with students and create a welcoming environment.

Program Delivery

Program Operations
  • Assist with daily program setup and cleanup.
  • Support student check-in, attendance, and dismissal procedures.
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment.
  • Follow all company policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have completed the Basic School-Age Care (BSAC) training
  • 2 semester hours in child/youth development AND 2 semester hours in school-age programming
  • Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
