Job summary

Innovation Learning is seeking a part-time Resilience Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. The program operates at school sites in the Phoenix area, including St. Theresa Catholic School. You will mentor, enrich, and support students with academic activities after school hours.

The role emphasizes building confidence, life skills, and positive connections, while promoting safety and respectful behavior within a dynamic, student-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months of experience or 12 college credits required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or NAC/CDA/CCP credential.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Location: School-Based Program Sites in the Phoenix area:

St. Theresa Catholic School, Phoenix, AZ

Reports To: Head Coach/Site Leadership

Schedule: Part-Time (Before & After School Programs, School Breaks, and Summer Programs)

Monday - Thursday 2:45-5:30 PM and Friday's 12:15 pm - 5:30 pm (Early Release Every Friday)

We are looking for candidates who are available to work the full schedule as listed. We cannot accommodate partial shifts with later start times and earlier end times.

Position Overview

As a Resilience Coach, you will help create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where students can build confidence, develop life skills, and thrive. This is an active, hands-on role that combines mentorship, enrichment, recreation, and academic support. Qualifications

• Experience working with children in schools, childcare programs, camps, recreation programs, or youth organizations preferred.
• Must meet one of the following requirements: (1) 6 months experience or 12 college credits (2) Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or (3) NAC, CDA or CCP Credential
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, patience, and a genuine passion for youth development.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to actively participate in indoor and outdoor activities.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout program hours.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.
