Job summary

BE A CHAMPION, INC. is seeking an After-School Site Coordinator to lead daily operations of the program in Houston, TX. You will supervise staff, ensure safety, and coordinate engaging activities for school-aged children after school.

This part-time role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication, with a focus on meeting students' academic and social needs, maintaining records, and building partnerships with families and school staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in educational, childcare, or youth development settings.
• Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily operations of the after-school program, ensuring a safe and structured environment.
• Lead and supervise a team of staff to implement engaging and educational activities.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, school staff, and community members to foster a positive program environment.
• Ensure compliance with organization and district policies, safety regulations, and licensing requirements.
• Maintain attendance records and daily site reports.
• Collaborate with the site team to meet students’ academic and social-emotional needs.
• Handle student discipline in accordance with program policies and procedures.
• Manage program materials, supplies, and equipment, ensuring adequate resources are available.
