Job summary

SMART Management, a mission-driven education management organization supporting Florida charter schools, is seeking a Part-Time After School Program Assistant for CIJS. This role supervises students after school, ensures safety, and delivers structured routines, homework time, physical activity and enrichment.

Reporting to the After School Care Director, you will enforce check-in/out protocols, reinforce school values, and communicate with families as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Prior experience supervising or managing groups of children preferred.
• Attributes: Punctual, dependable, attentive, and effective at managing student behavior.
• References: Three professional references including at least one direct supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students at all times to maintain a secure environment.
• Track attendance and enforce check-in and dismissal protocols.
• Follow safety procedures and incident reporting.
• Monitor behavior and maintain campus structure and decorum.
• Facilitate after-school routines, homework time, recreation, and enrichment.
• Assist with activity setup, game facilitation, and transitions.
• Reinforce school values and build respectful student relationships.
• Address behavioral concerns and escalate when needed.
• Communicate with parents during pickup and provide basic updates.
