Job summary

Mentoring Alliance is seeking an After School Program Mentor to guide elementary students in enrichment activities after school. This part-time role requires a heart for ministry, excellence, and mentoring kids to reach their full potential.

The position is non-exempt and averages 17-20 hours per week. We value teachers, youth workers, college students, and mentors who share our Christian mission to influence kids and families in the community.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old; High School Diploma or GED preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred.
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check and CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
• Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities and foster youth development.
• Supervise after-school sessions from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. during the school year.
• Model a ministry-minded, Gospel-centered approach in all interactions.
• Provide a positive, safe, and encouraging environment for kids.
