Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance in Texas is seeking an After School Program Mentor to lead elementary students in enrichment activities in our after-school program. The role is non-exempt, part-time, averaging 17–20 hours per week, with daily hours 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Monday through Friday during the school year. As a Christian ministry, we seek mentors who align with our faith-based mission and who are devoted to excellence, wholeheartedness, and developing kids to their full potential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years old; HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Spanish-speaking ability valued and encouraged.
• CPR/First Aid certification is mandatory.
• Background check and sex offender check required.
• Valid driver’s license or dependable transportation.
• Must be legally allowed to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities.
• Foster youth development in after-school settings.
• Maintain supervision and safety of students.
• Model a Christian lifestyle aligned with ministry values.
• Attend to daily schedule Mon-Fri 2:00–6:00 p.m.
