Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance seeks a ministry-minded Youth Mentor to lead elementary students in enrichment activities after school. This part-time, non-exempt role runs 17–20 hours weekly and supports our faith-based mission to guide kids toward their full potential.

Youth Mentors should be at least 17 with a High School Diploma or GED, and are expected to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and pass a background check. Spanish-speaking ability is valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in mentoring or working with children is preferred.
• Ability to work with elementary students in after-school programs.
• Commitment to safe, faith-based youth development.
• Must be able to pass a background check and CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead enrichment activities for elementary students in after-school settings.
• Supervise and mentor students Monday–Friday, 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
• Uphold and model the ministry’s faith-based values.
• Coordinate with program staff to ensure student safety and engagement.
