Job summary

The Mentoring Alliance is seeking a Christian After School Leader to guide elementary students in enrichment activities and foster youth development in a faith-centered after-school setting. This non-exempt, part-time role averages 17-20 hours per week and emphasizes excellence, wholeheartedness, and being a positive role model in the community.

The ideal candidate is ministry-minded, able to work Monday through Friday 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications

Must be at least 17 years old; High School Diploma or GED preferred and some post-secondary training highly preferred.
Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children.
Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred.
Able to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory).
Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check.
Valid driver’s license or Valid ID.
Legally allowed to work in the United States.
Have dependable transportation.
Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued.

Responsibilities

Lead elementary students in enrichment activities and foster youth development in a after-school setting.
Be a positive role model and uphold the organization’s mission and values.
Work cooperatively with staff to plan and implement engaging after-school programs.
Support safety procedures and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all children.
