Job summary

CHCF is seeking a Senior Group Leader for the After-School Program in Bronx, NY. Part-time, non-exempt role, schedule M-F 2:20pm–5:30pm, reporting to the After School Program Director. You will oversee a group of 20 children, ensure safety, and model positive behavior.

You will work with a Youth Worker, develop age-appropriate activities, and coordinate with teachers and staff. Candidates should have a high school diploma, some college credits, and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college credits preferred.
• Some related experience working with children preferred.
• Must love working with youth and be punctual.
• Must possess strong listening and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of 20 school-aged participants and ensure safety.
• Serve as positive role model and team player.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson activities.
• Collaborate with staff and attend required trainings.
• Keep attendance, snack counts, and reports.
