Good Shepherd Services is seeking an After School Group Leader in the Bronx for up to 20 hours per week. The role focuses on safety, development and organization of the group, with activities including education, recreation, arts and crafts, and group-building projects.

Responsibilities include supervising participants, delivering a themed curriculum, and supporting instructors and other group leaders. Applicants should be 18+, with a HS diploma and relevant experience, and be committed to

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School/GED Diploma and 1 year related experience in leading and participating in youth group development activities.
• Experience building camp culture through chants, team building activities, and community building preferred.
• Commitment to working with youth from diverse backgrounds with a strength-based, trauma-informed approach.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee a identified group of participants and ensure safety at all times.
• Engage participants in after-school activities and model positive behavior.
• Develop and facilitate a sequenced curriculum and activities including arts and crafts.
• Plan and prepare culminating events to showcase participant learning and growth.
• Supervise support staff and coordinate with instructors and other leaders.
• Maintain attendance records and ensure program policies are followed.
• Engage with parents and guardians professionally and communicate progress.
