Job summary

The Child Center of NY is seeking a Group Leader responsible for setting goals for program participants and facilitating engaging activities. The role requires maintaining a safe learning environment, supervising children, and assisting with homework.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, relevant experience with children, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The position operates Monday to Friday between 1pm and 6pm, providing an essential support role in our community programs.

Qualifications

• Must have content specific experience (i.e. sports, arts, literacy, etc.).
• Ability to prioritize, adhere to timelines and multi-task.
• Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently.

Responsibilities

• Providing homework help and facilitating activities.
• Supervise and monitor children while maintaining daily attendance.
• Assist tutors to manage and document behavior.

Skills

Experience working with children

Proficient in Microsoft Office
