The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Program Leader, ELOP Grant, to create a safe, engaging after-school environment for TK–8 students. You will lead enrichment activities, provide homework support, and foster a sense of belonging within a community-focused program.

As a role model, you will work with families and school staff, promoting youth development, academic success, and positive behavior. Training and opportunities may be available during school breaks.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with School-Age children in a group setting.
• Experience leading enrichment activities, recreation, academics, sports, arts or other skill based programs.
• Strong communication and ability to build relationships with diverse families.
• First Aid and CPR certifications or ability to obtain.

Responsabilités

• Create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for TK–8 students.
• Lead hands-on enrichment activities and homework support.
• Build meaningful relationships with students, families, school staff, and fellow team members.
• Encourage teamwork and a sense of belonging by creating inclusive experiences.
• Help ensure the program operates safely and effectively.
