Job summary

YMCA of San Diego County is seeking a Youth Leader for the ELOP program. The role involves direct supervision of participants, planning and implementing engaging activities, and collaborating with families, schools, and partners to support academic and social development.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety, delivering age-appropriate programs, and ensuring compliance with district and YMCA standards.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older and possess a high school diploma/GED.
Fingerprint clearance from DOJ/FBI required prior to working.
TB test clearance within 60 days prior to employment or prior to working on a school site.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification (Adult & Child/Infant) within 30 days of hire from an approved organization.

Responsibilities

Actively supervise program participants, ensuring guidance and safety at all times.
Assist in planning, management, and implementation of age-appropriate activities.
Communicate professionally with participants, families, school and district personnel, and partners.
Collaborate with school personnel and partners to align high-quality academic activities.
Provide positive behavior guidance to meet developmental and social-emotional needs.
Ensure compliance with school district and YMCA requirements.
Perform daily duties to keep space organized, clean, and safe.
