Job summary

Right At School in Odessa, Texas is hiring part-time Educators to support after-school programs at local schools. You will lead engaging activities, provide homework help, and create a safe, structured environment that helps kids grow academically and socially.

In this role you’ll gain hands-on experience in education, work weekday afternoons (no weekends), and earn $15–$18 per hour based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Six months of previous experience in childcare in a group setting or school-type environment (verification required).
• Must be 18+ years old and live within the listed school district area.
• Fluent in English; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check in students at the start of each session; take attendance and maintain records.
• Plan and lead daily activities, games, and enrichment lessons for the age group.
• Assist with homework time and academic tasks as needed.
• Supervise students during free play, transitions, and snack time.
• Address minor conflicts using positive guidance techniques.
• Communicate with parents at pick-up/drop-off about their child’s day.
• Log incidents and safety concerns with the Program Manager or site lead.
