Job summary

Silver Knights Chess Academy is looking for a Chess Instructor to teach elementary students in a small-group setting after school. You will use our curriculum to teach the basics of chess, guide practice games, and help students develop strategic thinking.

You will be responsible for a classroom of 10-20 students, promoting good sportsmanship, and ensuring learning materials are organized. Training is provided; part-time hours align with after-school programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of chess rules and basic strategy, or willingness to learn.
• Experience or interest in working with elementary-age children, e.g. as tutor or teacher.
• Have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs of teaching equipment.
• Ability to learn and use new software tools.
