Job summary

Silver Knights Chess Academy is seeking part-time chess instructors to teach elementary students in a small-group setting after school. You will guide lessons, supervise practice games, and manage classroom flow in a 2:45–4:00 PM window.

Candidates should enjoy working with kids, be enthusiastic about chess, and have reliable transportation. Training is provided, and a friendly, supportive environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in the rules and basic strategy of chess or willingness to learn.
• Experience or interest in working with elementary-age children, for instance as a small group tutor.
• Having a reliable vehicle for transportation.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs of teaching equipment.
• Ability to learn and use new software tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of 10-20 students.
• Use our curriculum to demonstrate and communicate basic chess rules and strategy.
• Promote good sportsmanship among students.
• R responsibly store and maintain all teaching equipment and materials.
