Silver Knights Chess Academy is seeking an After School Teacher to work with elementary students after school, teaching chess using our curriculum in a small-group setting.

You will receive thorough paid training and ongoing support. The position is part-time with after-school hours in the fall and offers a starting pay of $55 per hour. Join a team that values creativity, safety, and kid-friendly learning.

Qualifications

• Must be available at least 3 weekdays during the school year between 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm.
• Have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs of teaching equipment.
• Ability to learn and use new software tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage a classroom of 10-20 students
• Use our curriculum to demonstrate and communicate basic chess rules and strategy
• Promote good sportsmanship among students
• Responsibly store and maintain all teaching equipment and materials
• Supervise parent pickup
