No teaching experience is required, nurses with solid clinical experience and a completed MSN are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Iowa.
• Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses.
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network)
• At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse

Responsibilities

• Teaching and Curriculum Implementation: Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Student Evaluation and Support: Develop and post written clinical assignments, evaluate performance, provide remediation as needed.
• Clinical Coordination: Orient and maintain knowledge related to clinical site policies and expectations; develop and post written clinical assignments.
• Program and College Development: Contribute to ongoing development, implementation and evaluation of programs and college.
• Professionalism and Collaboration: Serve as a professional role model and collaborate to improve operations and student satisfaction.
• Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Comply with regulatory rules, keep the course coordinator informed, report to dean or assistant dean.
