Job summary

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program.

You will mentor BSN students in person at an inpatient clinical setting in the Des Moines, Iowa area, bridging classroom and simulation learning with real-world patient care on-site. No teaching experience is required; nurses with solid clinical experience and an MSN are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing is required.
• An unencumbered professional RN nursing license in Iowa is required.
• Illinois RN License will be required to teach all courses (prioritized for licensed instructors).
• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network).
• At least two years professional experience in the last five years in nursing instruction.

Responsibilities

• Teach and implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
• Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
• Develop and post written clinical assignments, evaluate and provide feedback on performance.
• Orient and maintain current knowledge related to clinical site policies and expectations with site personnel.
• Contribute to ongoing program/college development and assessment activities.
• Serve as a professional role model and collaborate with staff and students to improve operations.
• Comply with regulatory rules and report to the dean or course coordinator.
• Handle related duties and other responsibilities as assigned.

Education

A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
