Job summary

Highland Community College seeks an Adult Education Team Instructor to support the Adult Education Program at the Atchison location. The role is 20 hours a week, 39 to 42 weeks per year, with responsibilities spanning enrollment, assessment, planning, and instructional delivery.

As part of the team, you will coordinate with CTE instructors, maintain student records, and participate in ongoing professional development to promote literacy and postsecondary transitions for adult learners.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
• Experience in teaching, training, counseling, or testing.
• Previous experience in adult education desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in enrollment processes and assessments.
• Develop study plans based on pre-tests and goals.
• Hold classes per schedule in accordance with HCC calendar.
• Provide quality instruction to maximize student learning.
• Collaborate with CTE for co-instructed pathway courses.
• Maintain records and enter grades; participate in professional development.
• Engage in recruitment, retention and program development activities.
