Job summary

Cleveland State Community College invites applications for an Adult Education Instructor. This on-site role supports adult learners pursuing high school equivalency and foundational skills in math, language, science, and social studies.

The Instructor will conduct testing, orientation, and instruction, while ensuring compliance with state/NRS standards and Title II requirements. Evening hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Tennessee Teacher’s License (or approved waiver).
• Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience within K-12 & Post-secondary.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Plan, teach, and evaluate student work in alignment with standards.
• Create a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Select and adapt instructional resources to meet goals.
• Conduct TABE/OPT testing and student orientation when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate records using LACES.
