Job summary

URM Stores, Inc. is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Part-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Spokane, WA. This role offers approximately 20–29 hours per week in a supportive, long-term position with opportunities for growth.

You will post payments, interact with customers on invoices, reconcile AR, and maintain meticulous records while supporting the company’s financial operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Accounts Receivable experience.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• 2 years’ experience working with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent calculator/computerized spreadsheet skills.
• Team player with a positive approach.
• Familiarity with accounting software a plus.
• 10-Key experience.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Post payments to the accounts receivable system.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding invoice and payment application questions.
• Identify balances due for processing of credit card and ACH sweep payments.
• Reconcile accounts receivable subsystem daily.
• Sort and distribute incoming mail.
• Process outgoing payment collection support.
• Scan documents to archive credit memos and other Accounts Receivable supporting documentation.
• Track expiring reseller permits for all Foodservice and C-Store accounts.
• Assist with the preparation and distribution of customer statements.
• Switchboard relief.
• Maintain customer files, including correspondence and remittance information.
• Back-up other positions as needed.
• Special projects as assigned.
